Magento - Community Edition supports Payment21®
We have developed our API module using Magento making the Community Edition available for quick integration with Payment21®'s payment method: Instant eCheck™ WEB.
The Magento Community Edition is available as a free download under the open-source OSL 3.0 license and is recommended for expert developers and highly technical enthusiasts and hobbyists in non-mission-critical environments. As this edition is unsupported, it is intended for use by those happy to spend time and resources solving issues independently.
The requirements for Magento Community Edition are:
- Supported Operating Systems: Linux server
- Supported Web Servers: Apache 1.3.x or Apache 2
- PHP Compatibility: 5.2.0 and above with Safe mode off
- MySQL: 4.1.20 and above
Magento was born as open-source software - hence the name "Community" for this edition. This means that you, and indeed anyone around the world, are free to download Magento and make any modifications you may need, to suit your requirements. Magento has seen tremendous growth, with over a million people now using it around the world, many of whom have developed customizations, extensions and other changes. The Magento community connects on the Magento Community site forums to share their knowledge, assist each other, exchange tips and tricks, and offer support. Development of the Magento Community Edition continues at a rapid pace through this model, providing a basic and powerful solution for small shops looking for a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform.
After installing the new payment method, you will need to configure your security access details within Magento. These details are provided during your online registration on the Payment21® website.
This payment module was developed for the Community Edition V1.6.1.0. Any previous version is not guaranteed to be supported.
