Supervisory Authority

Payment21® abides by FINMA regulations

Under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), financial intermediaries in the non-banking sector are required to be affiliated to a semi-governmental self-regulatory organization (SRO) or to be registered as a Directly Subordinated Financial Intermediary (DSFI) with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in order to conduct their activities.

Financial regulators carry out audits and conduct on-site checks on a regular basis. The task of auditors and regulators is to govern the implementation of the obligations required under the law and to ensure that financial intermediaries fully comply with all requirements. The company operating Payment21® is subject to these provisions, and its regulatory status is publicly verifiable
